Lion Island - Bush Regeeration - 14 March 2015

Enmoore had organised a day bush regenerating at Lion Island in the
lower Hawkesbury River (Broken Bay)
Above - we set of at 8 am from Bobbin Head
Above - on the voyage, we pass close to some aboriginal art - note
the fish in the middle of the photo
Above - this rock also has some carvings
Above - Steve gets off the boat and splashes a little water on the
rock and the carvings become clear - fish and a kangaroo

The weeds we removed or poisoned were lantana and asparagus.

Above - after lunch we climbed to the top of the island for great
views. Here we look at Barrenjoey and Pittwater

Above - we head back down to the beach
Above - this patch of lantana actually provides cover for the
nesting penguins
